• With this alone, you can only view with the app. Not record. A separate unit is needed called an NVR. Preferably the one from D-link. It works the easiest.

• Yes you need additional equipment to store video. Dlink sells one. You can take snapshots these will store on your mobile device or computer. It is a live feed camera.

• To record you need an external device also sold by d link. They are stored locally or at a different location that has Internet access.

• Yes you need some type of storage device. Dlink has an inexpensive one
