• While it has WiFi capability it can also remain tethered to your router for it to function. Both the router and power cords are very short (no longer than 3 feet) so you'll need extensions if you want to place the camera far from your router.

• Yes, it has an ethernet port on back. Can connect wired or wireless. In fact, you have to connect it wired for setup with provided cable anyway before you can use wireless.

• Unfortunately, the Cloud Camera does require internet service/network access which is needed in order to login to the camera via a web browser to setup and configure it's features and settings. Thank you for choosing D-Link.

• This is an IP camera. It requires WiFi or wired connection to a home network.
