A:Answer First, as of this writing, this camera only works with the "MYDLINK" app (there are multiple similarly named apps, so carefully note the exact spelling in all references you might come across).
The decision between Cloud versus SD Card storage is an "Either-Or" choice you make from your phone which must be running the "MYDLINK" app.
The camera will not store footage (EVENT VIDEO CLIPS) in the cloud if, in the Device/Camera/Settings, you have selected STORAGE TO SD CARD. In that case it will ONLY record to the SD Card (assuming that one is installed in the camera). There may be an Event notification saved in the cloud showing the time that a Event occurred ( e.g. motion was detected) but it there will not be an Event Video Clip.
Conversely, if in the Device/Camera/Settings, you have selected STORAGE TO CLOUD, it will NOT record (EVENT VIDEO CLIPS) to the SD card but ONLY to the Cloud.
