• Yes, it is both sound and motion activitated. An alert will pop up on your phone and you can immediately view what is going on.

• This camera can be set up for motion detection, triggering recording either to a cloud service or to a micro SD card (not included). I have not seen any settings that would allow you to set it up with sound detection.
