QuestionOk... it mentions you can access if without being connected to the same WiFi - but if NO WiFi is available can it use the 4G data connection to connect to the camera... my RING doorbell works without WiFi connection so similar to that.

- Answer Yes. You can go into settings and set to just noise alerts or noise and motion alerts. It also has a sensitivity level to choose from.

QuestionCould you use this as a baby monitor?

- Answer In my opinion, no. Usually for a baby monitor you want continuous image/sound. The software that you load on your phone limits live monitoring to a couple of minutes before it times out and requires that you reconnect. If what you really mean is 'a motion or sound activated camera that notifies you when either takes place' then yes, it would work. The point is, the software is not meant for continuous display. I own this camera and a couple of the stationary version of this product line. Captures action/sound well. We also have a Lorex security camera system. Eight cameras on the exterior of our house. We can connect to those and watch all day, if we want.

QuestionDoes this camera let you play back recorded video from your phone without being on the same network?

- Answer The camera's software is only available on a cell phone. The cell phone, if connected to wifi (and not cellular) can remote into the camera and playback video from any internet connected network. If you only save to the internal card, then playback is negatively impacted by the upload speed of your camera's internet connection. Playback can be delayed and/or very choppy. If you sign up for their cloud service, playback is much* better. Live monitoring is real-time and is satisfactory.

- Answer No.... but I do have an 8 camera Lorex POE system that works well in all weather conditions. If kept absolutely dry, it might be ok... but this unit (looking at it right now) has way too many unprotected entry points for bugs/moisture. Plus it is not POE.

QuestionWhy does this camera not record to my sd card until it is full of video recording like the old model? It doesnt make much sense bc the motion record is hard to set up and doesnt work half the time anyway. Does it not record to the sd card all the time?

QuestionCamera installed near the doorway in my apartment. Will this camera pick up sounds and audio from the rest of the apartment, like living room/ kitchen with an open layout? Can audio be switched off? What does it mean when the camera lights are red?

- Answer My camera seems to pick up sounds but I have tile floor and so sounds travel anyways but I can hear when someone is doing laundry and other things in different part of house.

- Answer They are "supposed to be on" only if you have not disabled the camera's LED. There is a device setting, "Enable Camera LED", that is turned on by default. After you get your camera all setup, you can turn off that setting. Then the link and power light LEDs will be off.

- Answer Using the My Dlink app, you go into the settings and can set the sensitivity and area to record. You can set it to record to a sd card or to the Dlink cloud. The recordings on the cloud are free for recording 24 hours and you can pay to get up to 30 days recording. Hope this helps!
