Both, I would screw into studs however.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the D-LInk 5020L comes with a plastic mount with a rotatable arm that can be mounted on a wall or on the ceiling. If mounted upside down, the image can be flipped. I don't see a way in the firmware to rotate the image/video if the camera is mounted sideways.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It comes with a mounting bracket. You can rotate and/or invert the image in setup, which means that you can view an up-right image no matter how you actually physically mount the camera. I've got three cameras mounted upside down myself. BTW, you can also specify to reverse the panning and tilting controls, so it pans and tilts "correctly" if mounted upside-down.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We value the concern you have about our product. The DCS-5020L is mountable to a ceiling or wall. Refer to the Quick Install Guide from www.support.dlink.com for step by step information. If you want to mount it upside down you can change the settings of the camera to have the image flipped. Contact us at www.support.dlink.com if you have any further questions.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The image will be upside down. But if you remote into the camera using the IP address of the camera there is an option to "Flip Image" and it fixes it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can mount the camera to the ceiling. Once installed you have to go into the control panel via the computer and flip the picture. Only downfall is when moving the camera via smartphone right is left up is down. Not a big deal really.
