- Answer To set it up, you need to plug it into the router you will be using. Then, after set-up, you can move it anywhere within wifi range.

- Answer No. There is no monthly charge to use the camera. You can use the mydlink website and set up your camera with a user friendly interface. However if you set it up using its IP address directly on your network, its a bit more technical but there are many more options. Either way its free.

- Answer According to the User Manual, downloadable from DLink.com, this camera can be monitored from a PC or Mac computer. Software installation is required. I hope this helps.

- Answer Thank you for your questions. Please note that you may download our D-ViewCam application, and with that application you can view multiple cameras at the same time, record video, and set up scheduled and triggered recordings and there is no service contract associated with the use of this application at all or you may choose to configure your camera to send snapshots and video clips to an FTP server of your choosing. QuestionHow many hours of footage can be recorded on one camera?

- Answer if you install the DVR software on a computer that is hooked up to the same Wi-Fi network the amount of time you can record is only limited by the size of the Drive you are recording to on your computer. I have 250 gig set aside for my four cameras and I can get about 5 days out of that amount of space recording 24/7. The software allows you to set a limit on how much space it uses so once it hits your threshold it starts overwriting the oldest video.

Questionset times to record to catch an intruderCan you set a certain time to record. I don't need to record all the time and want to know if I can set it when I leave and turn it off when I get home. I found out when Im away my landlord helps himself in our home as to me getting this system. I only want to set it when we leave to catch him but really dont need to have it running while we are home. Is there a way to activate when leaving like adt home alarm system thanks

- Answer Yes, you have to download the desktop management utility from D-Link... This gives you the capability to manage many recording options that are not available through the web/mobile interface. Including timer schedules, movement recording preferences and manual recording

Questioni want a wireless unit to monitor my barn area.what inexpensive unit would work well?there is no wifi in the barn area,only electric.night vision is ok,mostly daylight as i want to monitor who comes and goes.i want to be able to store the info to look at later on my computer.

- Answer Thank you for your feedback and questions. Please note, that currently we do not have an app that is compatible and made for the kindle fire. You are however, able to download and register for the mydlink application in which you would be able to register each D-Link camera and add it to your mydlink accnt and login and view the cameras via that application from anywhere you have a computer with internet access and your cameras are connected to via an accessible network either wired or wireless that is tethered to the internet. - Answer Yes, you can zoom in and out-on the computer access at least. Did not see the option on the MyDlink app for droid. There is a lag time between when a change is requested and the camera view changes.

- Answer The D-Link IP cameras (like most IP cameras) are fairly autonomous devices. This means that you have have as many as you want. Each will acquire its own local IP from your router. If the camera is D-Link Cloud enabled, you will be able to access the camera feed via the internet from anywhere (with essentially zero configuration).
