if you install the DVR software on a computer that is hooked up to the same Wi-Fi network the amount of time you can record is only limited by the size of the Drive you are recording to on your computer. I have 250 gig set aside for my four cameras and I can get about 5 days out of that amount of space recording 24/7. The software allows you to set a limit on how much space it uses so once it hits your threshold it starts overwriting the oldest video.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The camera doesn't store any video. You have to run the software on a computer where you can tell it where to save the video. How much depends on how big of drive you have in the computer (and how much space is available on the drive).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is no removable media options for this camera. You can download the d-link app and watch all day long if you want. It does have options to record video when movement is detected, it will send an email to you with the footage or pictures, how ever you set it up. It's a great camera though
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Dlink DCS 5020L does not have an option for video. This camera set up correctly will send email alerts to notify you there is sound or motion detected and then you can monitor the camera remotely. You can set the camera up to send you snapshots of the of the motion or sound at 2 fps or up to six photos an email, I tested this and it sent 20 emails in a very short time and would have continued as long as there was motion but there is no recording option for this camera as I verified with Support.
