Hello Mif11, During air conditioning mode, most of the water created by humidity will be recycled and sprinkled over the evaporator coils to cool the unit down. Most of this water will be evaporated. Only during high humidity periods where condensate water will be created faster than it can evaporate, the excess will run into the internal bucket and the unit will turn off and the red light will turn on to let you know that it is required to drain it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We use ours mainly on weekends to cool bedrooms at lake house. I check each unit about once a day if they are running continuously. So far I've found very little water (less than half a cup) over this time frame. It will vary based on humidity level in your area. But overall, this has not been a problem for us. Just check it occasionally and drain as needed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've ran it between 5 to 7 hours a day for the last week and it's fine. I usually drain in once a week just to be safe
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends on how big your container is. We leave it running for 12-15 hours straight and then sometimes throughout the rest of the day. We always drain it before going to sleep, and the only thing we have right now is an old large playmate elite igloo. Leaving it on from 8pm-3pm fills the igloo up halfway, so throughout the day till 8pm fills it up almost to the top.
