YES YOU CAN! You can pinch zoom on your phone or if on your PC you can draw out a square on the screen to zoom into a location. GREAT SYSTEM
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Great question Ed. The cameras that come with the system are not Pan Tilt Zoom cameras. That being said, the DVR does have the ability to zoom in on sections of the image to expand them to a larger size. Though this isn't an optical zoom, it may help you get more information than you may have had otherwise.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. Because the cameras that come with this particular system are not PTZ (Pan, Tilt, Zoom). You would have to buy a PTZ camera and even then I believe you could only zoom in while it's live. Once it's recorded, I do not believe you could zoom in. Because it's already recorded. And even then it depends on the capabilities of the DVR. Or, if viewing using your phone, the capabilities and options that the app itself offers? I'm also not even sure this particular system would operate a PTZ camera? You may have to get a higher grade and thus, more expensive system for PTZ camera/s? In the end, I'm not an expert in this or any other security camera system. But I am mechanically inclined and for the most part I understand technical and electronic stuff. Plus I also have some common sense. That said, don't listen to me or anyone else who may answer your question. And to know for sure, I highly suggest you call, email or if they have live chat and speak to Defender USA customer service and ask them directly. Hope this helps. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
