QuestionAll the sudden system is not recording. And before it record but would not play recording.

The system not recording could be a result of the SD card being full. Please format the SD card by pressing the Menu button, selecting the Settings option and select Format Memory. If you require further assistance please reach out the retailer and they should be able to assist!

QuestionSo, the cameras communicate with the base unit when all are plugged in. I do not have wifi at home. The cameras can do the work without me providing internet.

- Answer you do not need internet. but the cameras have to be close to the base unit to get a signal.

- Answer Great Question Ronnie! The cameras would all need to be plugged into a dedicated power supply. An extension cable can be used as long as it is rated for the environment in which it is being used so that you have more options when mounting the cameras. Thank you for your interest in Defender!

- Answer You need to plug it in into a outlet to supply power to the monitor and cameras, so yes they need to be near an outlet. I use extension cords. The wireless means that the monitor and camera can talk to each other without wires, therefor it is wireless.

QuestionWith the 128g sd card how much will that record??

- Answer I have the same question. Not easy to find that answer. One place indicated that an 8GB card would hold 360 minutes (6 hours) so by calculation 128GB card would hold 96 hours, or 4 days. The first problem to answer though is how to get the system to accept the 128GB card. I tried one and it would not work. However, I checked that card on our computer and it worked just fine, so it appears that the Defender monitor failed to recognize the card for some reason. From reading on the internet other people have had this problem as well. Still working on how to solve this problem.

- Answer NO problem. I have two. Both monitors are in the same room. One i can watch an the other i have it on sleep it will only come on screen when it has motion

If you need to use extension cords, we recommend using one rated for the environment its run through. Outdoor installations should use an outdoor rated cable. - Answer Great question! The maximum transmission range for the PhoenixM2 is 450ft with clear line of sight with no obstructions or environmental interference. The optimum transmission range is 150ft taking into account environmental interference. Thank you for your interest in Defender!
