QuestionIf this is set to motion detect, will it keep recording until the motion is done? Can you turn off the screen on the monitor but still have the cameras working?

- Answer Yes, it will keep recording. It records as long as there is motion and you can set the duration of time that the unit will record once motion is no longer detected. The "SLEEP" button on the monitor front turns the display off until motion is detected at according to your settings. If motion is detected, the camera will turn back on automatically while recording.

- Answer Thank you for your question, Jon! The PhoenixM2 does not have remote viewing capabilities. If you would like to view the cameras while away from your home, we would recommend our Defender Guard IP camera, Wireless 2K or Wired 4K systems!

QuestionWhy does this system always say "out of range# when the camera is on back porch and monitor is next to window by the porch. I have had this system for a year now and have not been able to use it over half the time. What can I do to fix this issue?

QuestionIf the camera is mounted in the window on the inside will it pick up sound from outside?

- Answer Great question! If the camera is mounted inside it will not pick up outside sound. Please note that pointing the camera out a window can result in night vision issues as light will reflect off of the sensor and back into the camera.

- Answer Thank you for you question, dcottoncandy! This may mean that you have selected automatic overwrite which means that when the SD card fills up the system will record over the oldest footage first!

- Answer Great question, Ron! You are correct the PhoenixM2 system does not require an internet connection as it doe snot have the capability to view the cameras on your smartphone away from home.

- Answer Hello Brose, thanks for the question. The PhoenixM2 is a portable unit but it does require a power outlet to operate. The PhoenixM2 does not have any external video outputs, it records all footage to a SD card. It may not be ideal for use in a car. Defender Support

- Answer Hello John, thank you for the question. The PhoenixM2 lets you watch live footage without a SD card as well as recorded footage on the monitor that is included. There is no need for extra software! If you need to view it on your PC/MAC it is already formatted to work in any media player. Defender Support

- Answer Hello Judge, these are great questions. The PhoenixM2 operates on a 2.4ghz private network that is only visible to the monitors and cameras. If you have two Phoenix systems the cameras will only pair to one of the monitors. It is not possible to pair one camera to two monitors. Defender Support
