That's most likely a software issue. I had the same issues with my unit (all the function keys were not working) but the following steps fixed that. 1. Go to Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Services 2. Find Human Interface Device Access service and check to see if it is running. If not, set the Startup Type to Automatic and restart your system. Hope it helps
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had trouble with mine as well. Found out by trial and error that you just press the F10 key. No need to hold the FN button down before pressing F10. Tap multiple times to turn on, increase intensity (2 levels) and tap again to turn off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine works fine. On by default and pressing F10 cycles through off, on minimal, on max. (Note pressing Fn before F10 not needed.)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.if you press fn+f10 then it is f10. for backlight function, you will need to press the f10 key ONLY. If it doesn't turn on then i tis probably not working correctly. My backlight is not that well lit too. Try to get dell support but you can sure exchange it
