“Can the 2k version of this run games on 1920x1080? Looking to get this monitor so i have some upgrade room, but mainly play games on 1080p with my gtx 1060 card, so the 1440p would be a push as of right now.”

Yes, you can go through the monitors settings or through NVIDIA control panel to be able to adjust the resolution/refresh rate to whatever you'd like it to be.

Yes, you can choose a lower resolution with the in game options. I have a 980ti and have reduced the resolution in Rainbow Six Siege to 4099x768 to get an acceptable refresh rate on a three monitor setup.

It depends on the game. Some work ok at sub native resolution others don't. I'm using a GTX 780.
