That depends upon what you are using it for. Most manufactures claim their products battery last much longer than they do. For most people during normal usage expect at least 5 hours of battery life. (Normal usage means net browsing, streaming media, word processing) For me, about four hours if I am using Adobe AE or Premiere Pro, rendering video. Right now, just watched a 2.5 hour movie from Netflix and doing research, and I am 50% and I have been off the plug for at least 3 hours. As for fan noise, yes, you can hear the fan and depends upon what you do with the laptop. The noise is not so bad it becomes a distraction, but you will hear it. The laptop does not appear to run hot either, its one of the cooler running laptops I have owned.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think one thing we have to remember as buyers of laptops is that the estimated battery life is never accountable. From my personal experience, if a laptop can reach 50% - 60% of its estimated battery life in daily use, the product can already be considered as a super good one. The actual battery life varies a lot. It depends on how you use your laptop. I bought this model too. It lasts more than 3 hrs under my work settings. An 8-hr battery life can be only achieved with very strict settings in the lab.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am getting about 4 hours under normal usage . 8 hours may be if you keep it on without using much.
