I honestly don't know know about the long run. I recently just bought this computer. About a month ago. It is the fastest computer I have ever ever used. I have never noticed any lag at all. The start up time is incredible. From completely shut down to on and ready for input in about 5 seconds. Every program I have ran including some games open almost instantly.
