I believe this computer is a dual-core only. You can check by opening your Task Manager, going to More Options, Performance, and then CPU. Information should be below the chart about the PC cores.

This laptop comes with dual core processor.

The Intel i5-5200u is technically a dual core CPU but it has quad threads. This is now standard for both AMD and Intel CPUs.

I believe all i5s are dual core with 4 threads.
