• It's pretty easy to open the case, there are several youtube instructional video's, replacing the drive and memory was not very hard to do. I upgraded to a sandisk ssd and the machine really moves.

• Very easy, the screws on the back are all visible, there's plenty of videos online to watch and guide you through the process. The difficulty is just in getting the current HD image on the new one, but that's easy with one of the drive mirror kits, USB to SATA.
