A:Answer Microsoft no longer sells Office, but rents it as a subscription. New computers may have a trial copy. For free, you could use OpenOffice, which is good enough for personal use. I just loaded my older version via a peer to peer network connection as this laptop has no disk drive. That version had a three PC licence, so it was legal. Mostly I use Office for grammar and spellcheck before posting to professional site. The included Notes is enough for most of my needs.
