• Go to crucial and run a scan. I ordered a 16GB memory upgrade that goes in the one slot.

• Yes you can upgrade the RAM to 16 gig, you just have to get a single 16 gig strip as mentioned the laptop only has 1 slot. Single 16 gig strip is more expensive at around 175 bucks or so on Amazon.
