Does this have a hard drive or a solid state drive? null

It is a Hybrid...boot is solid state but rest is HD. See my review....very disappointed as two of them failed. Went with another brand. By the way one I went with (ASUS) has a regular 1 TB HD and boots quite a bit faster than the Dell....but the dell kept loosing the WIFI signal on the two I tried...evidently my experience with the two I tried is an issue on other Dells according to the Geek Squad person I talked to.

5400 rpm hard drive.... I recommend upgrading to an SSD

This is only a standard HDD not SSD

I think it is a hard drive. I've had solid state before. It runs just fine, just takes a little longer to load up when you turn on compared if you got solid state.

It's a plain ol' spinner. Not a solid state.
