A:AnswerYes, Cortana guides you through the initial computer setup, both by her voice and text on the screen. The setup took about hour because the computer did some automatic updates, but the setup portions I had to do were very straightforward.
A:AnswerI just installed a Samsung 960 250GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD and it detected it and worked perfectly and is 5x as fast as a SATA SSD. This is on my Inspiron 15 7573. It will probably also accept a SATA M.2 SSD. The included 2TB HDD was super slow and had Bitlocker turned on slowing it even further. I had to install Windows from scratch via USB due to this because it wouldn't clone due to the encryption.
A:AnswerA 2 TB disk drive 5400 rpm hard rive is not solid state. A solid state drive typically has less capacity, such as 256 GB. The rpm description suggests it is not a solid state device.
Hope this helps.
A:AnswerI just use the charger that came in the box with the laptop. I haven't had any issue with it. I did notice on the Dell website the computer cords are available for purchase if you need a new cord.
A:AnswerI installed a 256GB Samsung EVO 860 in mine and love it. The biggest problem was finding software that would shrink the drive without asking you to purchase the Pro version. I downloaded the software for the Apricorn SATA to usb cable I bought to clone the drive outside the computer with the old drive in place. It did the whole thing easily.
Good luck.
A:AnswerNo, it doesn't have the CD/DVD unit. Almost any new models have it, but if it's important for you, you can buy an external unit and connect it via USB
A:AnswerIt is possible but you need to get an accessory. It has a USB-C port so you can hook up 2 monitors to it if you purchase a USB-c dock. There is also an HDMI port on the side.
A:AnswerNo, not like the older computers, which creates a problem. I have found that by simply disconnecting the battery a few seconds will solve many of the problems that I had with the older one. This is not possible with the newer model.
A:AnswerYes it has everything you will need for school wireless and a lot of memory. Maybe a little large to carry but will be great in your room or library
