• I just installed a Samsung 960 250GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD and it detected it and worked perfectly and is 5x as fast as a SATA SSD. This is on my Inspiron 15 7573. It will probably also accept a SATA M.2 SSD. The included 2TB HDD was super slow and had Bitlocker turned on slowing it even further. I had to install Windows from scratch via USB due to this because it wouldn't clone due to the encryption.

• Yes it has an M.2 slot so you can add an ssd in addition to the hdd
