Brightness of screen and power settings and windows settings that favor battery over say actually being able to do stuff. And if you keep WiFi turned on or not. My experience with a full compliment of Adobe Creative Cloud, various video editing software and many other software and applications installed and multiple applications actually running and in use the battery can last 2 to 3 hours of heavy use. Surfing the web, typing documents 4 to 5 hours or so. I also put my brightness up so I can actually see the screen both on battery and on AC. I highly suggest keeping your power cord handy. WifI off the battery lasts much longer so if you don't need to be online you probably can get more to the 5 to 6 hour range. Also the battery time gauge lies, so pretty much ignore whatever it tells you, it can be more or less than what it shows. I went from 5 hours showing to 2 hours of actual on battery before plugging in the power adapter. On Average even though it says 7 hours + , in real world environment strictly on battery probably 2 to 5 hours depending on settings.
