• The battery is sealed, non-removable. Mine says 3-cell. If it ever needs to be replaced, just contact Dell.

• I get great battery times. I have used the laptop consistently for hours (5 - 6 hrs) without the charger. Definitely use the laptop without the charger until the battery gets very low to help keep the battery life long. I don't charge until my battery is down to 15% or less.
