• Yes you can. I installed a second drive with no problem.

• If you want to remove the optical drive this will give you a free 5.25" bay which you could put a 2.5" or 3.5" SSD or SATA to 5.25" adapter and it would work. You would however lose the optical disk.

• I put in a Samsung 840 500GB Flash Hard drive and taped it to the cabinet. There's room for that but I don't remember seeing another bay to put in a conventional hard drive.
