The documents included did not disclose the issue that caused my unit to be "refurbished." There were a few marks on the exterior surface most of which were removed by wiping (ok, rubbing) with a damp cloth. I had an issue caused by my own ignorance involving the wifi cutting out (I didn't know it had an external wifi switch in addition to the "turn wifi on" screen in settings). I called the toll-free tech support number and got through immediately. I spoke with a guy who was completely understandable: in terms of his ability to speak and understand English; and in terms of being able to "translate" tech-speak for someone who isn't too tech savvy or up on current computer lingo. I am very happy with my purchase; buying a "refurbished" model enabled me to get a much better computer than was available new at a price I could afford.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I purchased the factory-refurbished computer through Best Buy because I needed an extra PC and didn't want to pay full price. Also, I knew that I could return the computer if it had any problems. I would never buy a used computer from Ebay or through a 3rd-party sale. Just like I would only buy a used phone via a large company like Verizon because they stand behind their used products. I am happy with the purchase. The computer looked new out of the box and has worked perfectly in the several months that I have had it.
