You can use VGA or hdmi connectors to hook up monitor Speakers are not built in and you have to use your computer to hook speakers up

Inputs are dvi. You can use an adapter if needed. Speakers will need to come off your desktop. Also no usb ports on monitor

It works fine on mine. You just plug the speakers into the speaker jack on the back of the computer.

I have a Dell Studio XPS 8000 and this monitor works fine. Speakers are plugged into the desktop.

Will work with your Dell desktop with no issues! Speakers should attach to your desktop, not the monitor. There should be a speaker out or headphone jack.
