- Answer It’s super easy! Pro is already installed on machines with Home; it’s just hidden. So all you need to do is buy a Pro Upgrade activation code, which unlocks the Pro features. The easiest way is to purchase the upgrade from the Microsoft Store during the activation process itself. It’s $99.
