QuestionI just unboxed my machine and I hear water sloshing around inside of it. Is this leftover from testing at the factory, or was I sold a repackaged unit as new?

- Answer That's is an interesting question to answer but in my own opinion I would say left over from testing, but that should not have happened. Although we are human and there is where the errors lie.

- Answer Yes. We do it all the time. Just add water to the machine and turn on the steam setting.

- Answer No. It only makes espresso. There are machines that do both - I did a search on Best Buy's website and saw this one De'Longhi - Digital All-in-One Combination Coffee and Espresso Machine - Black and Stainless Steel Model: COM530M SKU: 6422017 I am sure there are others.

QuestionCan I use ESE pods for this product? My wife likes the convenience of our old machine that broke on us that used ESE pods. Looking at this as a replacement, but need to know if it supports ESE.

- Answer there is no nickle in the product, as is stated on the box, nearly the entire water loop inside is stainless steel with the exception of the water tank, pump, and food safe plastic filter inside the portafilter. all plastics are non toxic.

- Answer I would say make sure you are packing in the expresso evenly , and smoothing it out! Also, make sure you turn the little attachment correctly!

- Answer Hello, while there is no specific option to make Americanos on this unit, it is possible to make an americano using the hot water spout located on the right side of the unit. We always recommend you prime your unit upon first use and descale your unit with about every 200 coffees. Thank you.

QuestionCan I make more than just the two shots of expresso on a single brew? For example if I have 4 or 5 people waiting I'm going to have to get new ground coffee and make doubles only?

- Answer yes, the max is two at a time as coffe grounds have a finite amount of coffe you can extract, so, because the portafilter is designed to make fancy espressos and not pots of coffe, it maxes out at 2 espressos per coffe fill.

- Answer the frother is stainless steel but obviously as the frother can move and is not stationary it needs a bendable plasstic tube to carry water at angle, otherwise precision steel work would be nescesarry to allow it to bend and this machine would be several hundred dollars. the water tank is made of high heat food safe polymer and the rest of its water loop is stainless steel, no aluminum, nickle, lead, etc

- Answer Not sure but. The one it comes with is a two part portafilter. Remove one to make it hold more coffee.
