• Keep the speaker impedance at 6 ohms or more, and don't put anything over the vents on the top and it'll play all day without getting hot. I run mine for several hours at a time at very loud levels and have never had an issue.

• If it’s in a enclosed area yes . You need at least 1” clearance all around unit if not then yes buy a fan that’s sits on top they have low profile ones 1” thick .

• I’m not using one right now the receiver gets a little bit hot but not too hot like some of the reviews I read. I think I will get one in the future it’s better to have it just in case.
