“The IMAX Enhanced is supposed to be 7.2.4. The Denon 4500 only has 9 channels. This is a great unit for sure but how can it be IMAX enhanced with only 9 speakers. The Marantz sr7012 is a wonderful unit but that is not IMAX enhanced! Amplifiers?”

With 11.2 channel processing capability, the AVR-X4500H can even support up to 7.2.4 configuration with an added 2ch amplifier.

However, 5.1.4 or 5.2.4 is also a supported Imax enhanced Format which the AVRX4500H will support.
