• A:Answer You can find this info straight from the horse's mouth, on www.Denon.com. There are three power ratings for this thing: 125w/ch, 165w/ch and 235w/ch. They are ALL true. It depends on the impedence of the speakers you are using, 8 ohms, 6 ohms or 4 ohms. Most home audio speakers are 8 ohms, so I would assume your unit will be outputting 125w/ch into 8 ohms.

  Hey Denon Customer,

  The wattage you may see on an authorized dealer site is correct depending on the ohm rating they are using. Lower ohm's mean a higher wattage however the average speaker uses 8ohms so the wattage will be lower and that is what we base our specs on. The AVR-X4500H specs are 125 watts per channel into 8 ohms.
