This receiver can accommodate almost any setup option you can imagine. It supports ZONE 2 and ZONE 3 directly (but at a loss of the number of speakers ZONE 1 supports) or the 2/3 ZONES can be sent to two different preamps, preserving all 9.2 speakers to Zone 1. The manual is online and easy to find and shows clearly all the setup options under playback --> playback in ZONE 2/ZONE 3 (another room) --> Connecting ZONE
