Q: QuestionJust got my tablet delivered yesturday and set it up and all of a sudden tonight can't power up can't even get the battery charging icon on the screen??

• A:Answer Take the back of the tablet off. (I get a pencil or screwdriver and just stick it in the headphone hole and push away from the tablet). There will be a little like half a inch thing that might be unplugged. It is around the top of the tablet. It has wires connecting it and other stuff. Just make sure everything is plugged in correctly. Try that.

Q: QuestionI have a DL1016. Recently. Suddenly the "select. boot mode " popped up and Cant get it to turn off. So ofcourse it wont. Turn on. Just stays on that screen

• A:Answer Stay away from the Amazon Fires. They're not 100% Android compatible and while you can get to the Play Store, games don't always run after download. Google tells me there are at least 2 files missing that need to be added somehow. I have a couple of the house brand Digiland. They work well with Android games; I play Massive Multiplayer Online games on it, plus some single player time-wasters. I'm happy with them. But the take-away is to be sure they're using an Android O/S, not some heavily modified version.

• A:Answer To my knowledge the Hulu has apps for all OS. I have Hulu apps on PC and Chromebook, Android and iPhone, PlayStation 4 and Xbox. Only device I could not use Hulu on was a Linux OS laptop, however I was still able to use the browser and connect to Hulu that way. But of course that is my preferred method, most apps are just memory space hogs and it is easier to use the browser anyway.

Q: QuestionI have already bought my Dad an Amazon Fire and a Nook. He is 80 years old, only plays solitaire on the tablet but he drops them, and when playing the games he hits the tablets hard. I’m going broke keeping him in tablets, would this be ok for him?

• A:Answer Given my experience, this would break very fast. Mine only lasted 4 months and I am careful (no dropping or abuse). I would suggest getting a rubber case for his tablet, similar to the ones on the kids tablets. I got my sister a Fire tablet with a large rubbery kids case, and her tablet is doing great despite similar treatment to what you described.

• A:Answer Best option is a factory reset to take it back to day 1 settings, of course you will lose most of your information and apps. But the parental controls will be gone. Or talk to who setup the device originally and have them remove some or all the parental controls.
