According to the instruction book page 5 note "5" the battery is "...waterproof to depth of 40 meter for over 3 hours of continuous use."
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can use it with the standard housing but not the dive housing. You can take it as deep as the standard housing will allow. It can't handle the pressure at deep depths and it doesn't mate with the dive housing. You'll have to check the specifications from GoPro's website regarding the allowable depth for the standard housing. I bought this for use while skiing so the pressure isn't an issue for me. I also use it while fishing but I am fishing in depths up to 3 or 4 feet so again the pressure isn't a concern for me. I don't scuba dive anymore so I can't help you there.
