DW, I know this has been up awhile, but if your still considering; Yes, this is just for charging the drone battery, and it is going to take just as long with this as with most other chargers. Guessing how long it takes depends on the battery itself (age, charging cycles, temperature, etc). But a wild "guess" would be 30 min.

The charge time depends on the power of the charger plugged into the wall or that the usb cable is plugged into. Minimum 1 1/2 hours for a completely discharged battery to full charge.
