How does the DJI Mavic Mini compare to the DJI Spark? null

The Spark shoots in a maximum of 1080p, along with a 2-axis gimbal. It has obstacle avoidance in the front, and the Mavic Mini is a replacement. The Mavic Mini has enhanced wifi, like the spark. However, it is better, and has evolved to fix problems that happened with the spark. The Mavic Mini has a 3-axis gimbal, can shoot videos in 2.7k, and shoot photos in 12MP. The only downside to the Mavic Mini is that it has no obstacle avoidance in the front. I recommend getting the fly more package, with a roll cage, if it is your first time with a drone, or if you want to protect/get maximum protection out of your investment.

DJI mavic mini will be more of a professional based drone while spark will be more of a consumer drone in basic terms. Both have their advantages and disadvantages, for example the spark has obstacle avoidance, follow mode and is more rugged (mavic mini doesn’t), while the mavic mini has better quality video, 3 axis gimble (smoother video) and has a longer flight time. If you’re looking to get a practical cheap drone to create videos or short movies, mavic will be the one to go with but if you want a drone for family vacations or to give as a gift that will last, the spark will be the way to go.

The battery life is longer on the mavic min (30) mins vs 15 mins on the spark. The mini is smaller than the spark. However the mini is marketed towards people who are just getting into the hobby. The mini doesn’t have front sensors or rear sensors. It only has an underneath sensor. Most of the things are the same as the mavic 2 except for features plus the way it connects is different. The mavic 2 has a Cosmos sensor while The mini had a basic WiFi connection. Overall it has basic features which makes it a cheaper price. Also the mini weighs 249 grams so no registration. Registration is only required by 250 grams or more.
