“took harddrive from broken ps3 that wont turn on i want to save everything from that harddrive to the new one i do not want to format it thats why i bought this device is there anything i can do to get the information out of it”

• PS3 hard drives are different than regular hard drives- they require more power. You may need to find an enclosure with a power cord to make that work.

• The only way i know is to plug in the drive and listen to it to determine if the drive is still spinning and powering up. If so you should be able to retrieve the information.
