you could just find a drive adapter to change the mount location of a 2.5'' drive to a 3.5'' drive im not sure where to buy one but i do know they exist
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, the brackets and screw are spaced for a 3.5" drive. The 2.5 in drive would pug in, but there would be absolutely nothing to support it, I think you would quickly damage the soldering that connects the port to the circuit board in the enclosure.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.So here's the deal: this enclosure is not designed to accommodate 2.5" drives with the rails that attach the drive to the rear assembly. That being said, the connectors for 2.5" and 3.5" SATA drives are identical, so you might be able to get away with connecting a 2.5" drive inside of this. The rub would be that the only thing holding it in would be the SATA connector and the drive would just kind of be hanging there in the middle of the enclosure. All in all not ideal, but it might work in a pinch if you have no other options. Personal recommendation would be to look online until you find exactly what you're looking for unless you need it immediately.
