• You should not encounter any compatibility issues by switching to Windows 8. My only concern is WHY?? would you switch to Windows 8???

• I have a 2TB drive installed in the enclosure and I am using it on a Toshiba laptop running Win8 and connected to a USB 3.0 port. It was recognized instantly and works perfectly. I would expect it to work on a Win8 desktop just as well.
