That's exactly what I bought the video cable for, to hook up devices to my old CRT TV. That way, I can turn on either old content or so-so TV programs on my old TV, which should extend the life of my HDTV somewhat for viewing the really good stuff. I got the male-to-male connectors (that is, male plugs on both ends).
