A:AnswerThere is one available but it’s expensive and the brush roller the vacuum includes does just as good of a job. The only benefit is the floor brush can get in narrow areas. If you don’t really care about that, not really needed unless you want to spend the money.
A:AnswerHi I have one now that I think needs replacement bought 5 year ago now when I use on the carpet the power head does spin clean it the best I could but still not working.
A:AnswerHi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Big Ball Canister comes with a washable filter. The filter is washable, and should be cleaned approximately every three months. With proper maintenance, you should not ever have to replace the filter, but we do carry them on the Dyson website.

A:AnswerHi Sheila, this is Kelly with Dyson. You should be able to use the same articulating hard floor tool on your CY23, however it would need an adaptor to attach to your newer machine. If you cannot find the adaptor at a local retailer, we do carry this on the Dyson website.

A:AnswerHi Kimm, this is Kelly with Dyson. The DC47 only features 147 air watts of suction power, so one big difference between that and our Big Ball canister is suction power - the Big Ball has 252 air watts. Our canister models generally will have the most suction among our line of machines. The brush bar cannot be disabled on the Big Ball, but it is powered by suction so it can be slowed down for vacuuming bare floors.

A:AnswerHi Charlene, this is Kelly with Dyson. You can use your machine on hardwood flooring, however keep in mind that your machine's brush bar is powered by suction. It cannot be turned off, but it can be slowed down. We hope this helps!

A:AnswerI Think there is a 5 yr warranty. but i just paid 60 bucks and got the 5 yr Geek Squad warranty. it was 50 bucks for 3 yr warranty. The reason i prefer this type of warranty is because when i bought a diff vacuum at Target, and it failed, the manufacturer wanted me to take it to an authorized repair person. that person was the only one in the area and never answered their phone. The amount of time I spent trying to deal first with an 800 customer support number and then getting a ticket number to trying to call the repair person repeatedly, making an appt and then driving it over and then trying to get a hold of this person again to pick it up 3 weeks later was a total waste of my time. additionally they were only open during working hours between 9-5! For 50 bucks, with Geek Squad, you make an appt online, they are open on weekends and late on weekdays, they take it immediately, they assess it, send it to be repaired if they can and will ship it back to your house or have you come in. I repaired a couple of laptops that way. So for this vacuum - what they do not tell you is with most vacuums, they generally do not send it in, they just refund you the amount you spend. And I used mine to buy the same vacuum - only the later model that was currently out. It wasn't on sale and cost $150 more as it is 2 yrs older.
But they gave me a 5% discount off the new price that was much higher when it wasn't on sale. Usually I just walked over and get a new replacement one within minutes. This time, it wasn't in stock so I had their Geek Squad person order it online for me. And they adjusted the price bc they saw it wasn't on sale. Then, they shipped it to my house in 2 days. Then, when the vacuum went on sale a few days later, I walked in with only a receipt and they adjusted the price to the sales price. and adjusted the cost of my Geek Squad warranty. and that's why i just like buying everything to do with electronics at BestBuy and buying the Geek Squad warranty instead. Bc for $60 I do not have to waste a few hours. And I couldn't live without this vacuum for 3 weeks! Hope this helps.
A:AnswerThere’s no bag (bagless) but if you follow the cleaning/maintenance for this produce then you should have no problems with it and it should last you longer than 5 years.
A:AnswerHello Laura, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Big Ball canister vacuum features 252 air watts of powerful suction. The brush bar itself is also powered by suction, so you do have the ability to slow down the spinning of the brush bar while vacuuming hardwood floors. That being said, the brush bar cannot be completely disabled from spinning on our canister models. If you do have any concerns over using a brush bar on your hardwood, we would suggest contacting your flooring manufacturer and follow their recommended guidelines.
Best wishes,
Kelly
