Hi there, this is Krystal with Dyson. Thank you for your interest in the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball. This vacuum uses our latest cyclone technology which is the Cinetic cyclone technology. It is more efficient than previous models in that the cyclone tips oscillate at up to 5,000 Hz, separating the microscopic dust that clogs most vacuums. I think it was created in 2015, but the idea is they use many small oscillating suction cones so it never gets clogged and never loses suction power. There are no filters to clean in the cinetic vacuums.
