It works very well on deep pile carpet, but it has a tendency to lift loose rugs, and its rather strong brushes may pull shag strands out of the mat depending on how well its made.

You should be ok with your carpeting, but may find that you need to disable the brush bar during use, if the carpeting fibers seems to get "stuck" in the rotating brush bar. We do generally suggest consulting with your flooring manufacturer to see if they have any guidelines in terms of using a brush bar on their carpets. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
