Q: QuestionWould love to skip the window a/c units this year. During the day we would have our living room a/c on. Looking for a fan that will cool a small bedroom at night. Any thoughts on this tower fan - and the levels of coolness it brings? Thanks in advance.

• A:Answer Well, for one, I placed the fan directly on a table that was the same height as me sitting down. No ossolation, just on the highest level possible,and pointed towards me. It BARELY could cool me down, so trying to cool an ENTIRE room would be a joke.

Q: QuestionOur AC went out and the highs over the weekend are in the upper 80s. Is this fan going to help at all with cooling a room when the temperature in the room is most likely starting in the 80s?

• A:Answer Of course it makes SOME noise, but very little considering the volume of air and the velocity. The fan sets up nice air movement 15 feet away. A traditional blade fan that moves this much air would be very noisy. Th Dyson fan does not interrupt conversations, does not interfere with the television, and does not annoy me.

Q: Questioncan I get a Best Buy person to assemble a Dyson AM07 Air Multiplier for an extra charge?I would like it assembled in my office which is less than half a block from my local Best Buy. It is supposed to be easy to assemble, but I tried with a unit I ordered online directly from Dyson but the parts did not fit together no matter how many times I tried, including with phone assistance from customer service, so I sent it back.

The Dyson AM07 uses our Air Multiplier technology, air is drawn in by the impeller and a high-velocity jet of air then exits the loop and creates an area of low pressure that draws in air from behind the fan. As the jet of air leaves the front of the loop, more air is drawn in from the surroundings which amplifies the initial air flow even further. This makes it great for any size living room. • A:Answer I would normally have the AC set to 70°, and the AC would run all the time getting to 72° last summer. This year same thing, set to 70° but it reaches 70° and shuts off (this year has been hotter). It cools of a 25 x 35 living room, but we leave the doors open to circulate the and purify the air. hope this helps
