Hi there, this is Krystal with Dyson. The air flow will switch to the base when reclined. You should only feel air flow from the wand when in the upright position. If you feel suction through the wand when reclined, there is likely an obstruction within the hose inlet. Simply remove the hose and clear out any debris. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Air only flows when I put the vacuum in the upright position before turning it off. And I imagine if I used an attachment same thing - haven't done that yet.
