Yes, I believe they are. Because when I asked to buy a floor model, the Customer Service Rep said they aren't allowed to sell Dyson floor models, they must ship them back to Dyson. He reported this was because Dyson wouldn't warranty the floor model because they couldn't guarantee what type of abuse it had undergone while serving in that capacity.

Must be. We bought ours there, and we love it!
