• Hello Eddie, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson V8 Absolute model comes with 2 cleaner heads, the direct drive cleaner head that is also included with the Animal, as well as the soft-roller head. This soft roller was engineered specifically for use on bare flooring. The soft roller head can be purchased separately on its own to use on your vinyl or plank flooring, should you wish. • No separate attachment is necessary. The brush head allows you to use it on carpeted and hard surfaces. I use mine on hardwood, wood laminate and carpet (rugs) and the V8 handles it all beautifully. It does come with a crevice attachment and mini brush heads. I’ve only had mine about a month, but so far, it’s the best vacuum I’ve ever had. It has made the chore quick and easy and I actually look forward to using the vacuum.
