Yes you can control the temperature though voice control through any echo device as long as everything is synced. If you're anywhere in the house talking through an Alexa enabled device, you can control the Ecobee4.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes to both. The voice is operated through Alexa. It was a little confusing at first, you have to tell Alexa to tell Ecobee to do what you want. I.E. "Alexa, tell Ecobee to set the temperature to 72 degrees."

Please try again later.If you enable the Alexa skill it will be available on all your Alexa and Echo devises on the same network,so yes, you will be able to adjust thermostat from your porch. I know you can say “Alexa tell ecobee I am too hot or too cold” I have not tried seeting and Exact Temp setting but Im sure that would work too
